Vacuum packaging history

Vacuum packaging technology originated in 40s. Since the successful application of plastic film in commodity packaging in 50s, vacuum packaging technology has been developed rapidly. The level of packaging reflects the level of science and technology and affluence of a country to a certain extent. The research and application of vacuum packaging technology in China is still in its infancy.

In 1962 and January, Ordal proposed that impermeable membranes could inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, and packaging fresh meat could extend shelf life.
